Nervous System Regulation in Auckland
A deeper approach to nervous system regulation, stress adaptation, resilience and embodied healing.
What Is Nervous System Regulation?
Your nervous system is constantly responding to the world around you — taking in information, adapting to change, and helping you meet the demands of everyday life.
Nervous system regulation isn't simply about feeling calm. It is about developing greater capacity to respond, adapt, and recover as life unfolds, rather than remaining caught in patterns of protection, tension or overwhelm.
At Well & Wild, we see regulation as an evolving process — one that can support greater awareness, adaptability, resilience and connection within yourself and your life.

Why Does the Spine Matter?
Your spine is more than a structural support for your body. It is deeply connected to the nervous system and is continually responding to movement, sensation, emotion and the demands of your environment.
At Well & Wild, we work with your spine as part of a larger process of nervous system awareness, adaptation and change. Through gentle spinal care, we support your body's capacity to develop new strategies for meeting stress, challenges, and life itself.
Rather than trying to create a particular physical position or outcome, our approach is centered on developing greater awareness, adaptability and resilience within your spine, your nervous system, and your life.

A Different Approach to Nervous System Care
Nervous system regulation is not simply about learning to calm yourself down. We see it as an ongoing process of recovery, adaptation, integration and growth.
At Well & Wild, our work has evolved over more than 25 years of exploring the relationship between the spine, nervous system, stress, awareness, and healing.
We work gently and responsively, meeting each person where they are rather than applying a fixed approach. The aim is not simply to return you to an old way of being, but to support the development of new strategies that give you greater capacity to respond to life — with more resilience, awareness, and choice.

Network Spinal–Informed Care
Network Spinal is an important foundation of our work. Chris and Lisa both trained extensively in Network Spinal Analysis and have worked with the approach for more than 25 years.
Over that time, our understanding and practice have continued to evolve. We have explored the relationship between the spine, nervous system, stress adaptation, awareness and healing through both clinical experience and research, including peer-reviewed publications on Network Spinal Analysis and Somato Respiratory Integration.
Today, we describe our work as Network Spinal–informed. We draw from the principles and experience gained through Network Spinal care, while allowing our work to move beyond the scope of chiropractic and traditional practitioner protocol.
This allows us to work in a more individualised and responsive way — meeting each person and their evolving needs rather than seeking to reproduce a predetermined process.

Our work is no longer chiropractic care. We do not provide chiropractic adjustments or spinal manipulation. Instead, we work as healing facilitators, supporting the development of greater nervous system awareness, adaptability and healing capacity.
